| Due to provision of borders on both surfaces of the electrode, the top and bottom surfaces are reversible, which is optimal for automated or manual mass production. The key advantage of having a border is the prevention of shorting at the chip edges, even with very thin capacitors. As a result, a high operating voltage can be used in thin capacitors as well as widenens range of the size selection. The border eliminates electrode lifting at the edge of the ceramic during dicing. In addition, the border relieves thermal stress and enables us to make a highly reliable design. |
